Jeremy Mierisch, MS, LAc Jeremy was drawn into this field due to being a severe and chronically ill patient for nearly a decade. If it were not for the intervention of eastern medicine combined with the efforts of western medicine, he would not be where he is today. After he got his life back, Jeremy was determined to become a licensed acupuncturist and help as many people as possible. Karen Dion, DC, CCSP Dr. Karen holds a Doctorate of Chiropractic Medicine from Los Angeles College of Chiropractic and is a Certified Chiropractic Sports Physician (C.C.S.P) from the New York Chiropractic College. She has a Bachelor of Science in Biology from Providence College as well as a Certificate in Nutrition and Kinesiology from the Cooper Clinic in Texas. Lorena Almanzar, DPT Lorena graduated from Quinnipiac University in 2017 with a bachelor’s in Health Science and continued on to pursue her Doctorate of Physical Therapy at the same institution. Lorena received her DPT in 2020 and started her career as a home care therapist in Colorado. During her time working in homecare, Lorena served both pediatric and geriatric populations with various diagnoses. This experience cultivated her passion for working with adults and optimizing their quality of life. Lorena has experience treating patients with several neurological conditions such as Stroke, Parkinson’s, Alzheimer’s Dementia, Multiple Sclerosis, as well as general orthopedic conditions. She is an innovative and passionate clinician that values patient-centered care through a strong patient-therapist relationship. Lorena is an avid runner and dog lover who enjoys going hiking with her golden doodle, Ozzy. Lorena believes in being a lifelong learner and is always seeking new strategies and treatment protocols in order to achieve the best outcome for each patient. She takes pride in her dedication to achieving a pain-free life for her clients and empowering them through impairment-specific education. Luis Yepes, MS, LAc Luis, originally from Puerto Rico, began his journey to a healthy lifestyle at a young age, spending most of his time surfing and embracing the island’s natural resources. He completed his Masters in Acupuncture at the New York College of Health Professions in 2021 and has a proven track record in successfully treating a wide variety of orthopedic conditions. His expertise lies in clinical techniques, all firmly grounded in modern research and trial studies. Luis is deeply committed to providing the highest level of care for his patients, always putting their needs first. What truly makes him stand out is his friendly and positive approach to life, which ensures that the treatments he provides are not just effective but also filled with warmth and encouragement for his patients. Melanie Lentini, FNP-C Melanie has been in the health care field for over ten years. Her journey began as an LPN. Melanie worked in a nursing home and home health care while she obtained her RN. She attended Stony Brook University for her bachelor’s degree and then went on to study for her master’s at Long Island University for her FNP. She now joins our staff as a certified NP. When she’s not working, she enjoys spending time with her family and friends. Especially her husband, her cat, Chav, and dog Georgia. Nicole Mattis-Catlin, FNP-C Meet Nicole, a board-certified Family Nurse Practitioner who obtained her Bachelor of Science in Nursing from SUNY Brockport in Brockport, NY. She gained valuable experience as a registered nurse in Medical-Surgical, Telemetry, Cardiac Care, and Intensive Care units at a south shore Long Island hospital. She pursued her Master of Science in Family Nurse Practitioner at LIU Post in Old Brookvale, NY. Nicole is certified in Basic Life Support and Advanced Cardiac Life Support by the American Heart Association. She is also a member of the American Association of Critical-Care Nurses, The national nursing honor society Sigma Theta Tau International, and The Nurse Practitioner Association in New York State. Besides being passionate about her career, Nicole is a devoted daughter, wife, and mother of two. She enjoys listening to smooth jazz and solving sudokus during her leisure time.
